Functional Details

In the 56-8876 fail-secure configuration, the exit device keeps the lever locked on the exterior side during a power loss, maintaining security on the opening. Electric latch retraction pulls the latchbolt back electronically, enabling push/pull operation or remote release while the latch stays retracted. Free egress from the inside is always available by pressing the push bar.
