This device operates as a fail-secure electric latch retraction unit. When energized at 24V, the solenoid retracts the latch to permit entry from the exterior trim or remote release. When power is removed, the latch remains projected and the outside lever is locked, while free egress from the inside is always maintained by depressing the push bar.
