The Sargent LC-56-8706-J-ETP-84 is a heavy-duty electrified surface vertical rod exit device built for demanding commercial openings. Designed for doors measuring 37 to 42 inches wide and up to 84 inches tall, it delivers reliable storeroom-function operation with electric latch retraction (EL) capability through the 56 electrified option. The J escutcheon trim with the ETP lever provides secure keyed access from the outside, while free egress is always available from the inside. Supplied less cylinder, it accepts a standard mortise cylinder of your choosing. This Grade 1 device is ideal for fire exits, stairwells, and secure perimeter doors where controlled entry and dependable panic hardware are essential.

Functional Details

The storeroom function means the outside lever or trim is always locked and entry requires a key. Using the key retracts the latch for access, and the outside trim relocks automatically once the door closes. The electrified 56 option allows the latch to be retracted remotely for momentary or sustained access control.

Arm Type Details
