Functional Details

Electric latch retraction uses a solenoid to retract the latchbolt on command, enabling remote release through access control, card readers, or automatic door operators. In the fail secure mode, removing power leaves the exterior lever locked while free egress from the inside is always available by pressing the push bar.

Arm Type Details

This device uses the ETJ outside trim, which pairs an escutcheon-mounted J-style lever with the 8800 series rim exit device. The lever provides keyed access from the exterior, and when power is present or the key is used, the lever and electric latch retraction allow the door to be opened without disturbing egress from the inside.
