Von Duprin DE5300 Logic Controller, For Use with Delayed Exit Devices

The DE5300 Delayed Exit System is specifically designed for controlled egress applications and is used with a magnetic lock. It fulfills life safety and security requirements, complying with NFPA standards for "Special Locking Arrangement" and IBC guidelines for "Special Egress-Control Devices." The system incorporates all necessary control units, auxiliary locking, local alarms, and remote signaling outputs within the DE5300 assembly.

This system is particularly suited for use on narrow stile doors where a standard or narrow stile Chexit device would not be practical. It uses a Chexit logic board and a Von Duprin RX-LC (low current request to exit) panic device to manage a Schlage Electronics Direct Hold Magnetic Lock.

Installation involves mounting the Chexit module for the DE5300 in a control box within the wall adjacent to the door. It maintains the features and functions of the standard Chexit exit device. Additionally, the DE5300 device includes a 6" x 20" decal that reads:

“PUSH UNTIL ALARM SOUNDS. DOOR CAN BE OPENED IN 15 SECONDS”

This decal will be applied on the door to inform users of the operation method.

Cylinders are not furnished with the DE5300.
