It pairs the dependable 8900 Series mortise lock case with 12V electrified trim operating in a fail safe configuration, so the outside lever unlocks when power is removed to support controlled access and egress strategies. The device ships less cylinder, allowing you to match your facility's keying system, and features the ET-style trim with an L lever for comfortable operation. As a fire rated unit, it comes less dogging to maintain positive latching required on labeled door assemblies.

Functional Details

This 12V DC electrified ET trim operates in fail safe mode. With power removed, the outside lever is unlocked. Applying power locks the outside lever. When unlocked, turning the outside lever retracts the mortise latch. Operating the inside push rail permits egress regardless of the electrical state of the trim. A compatible mortise cylinder, ordered separately, provides mechanical key override.

Trim and Lever Details

The ET trim has an L lever. Electrical power controls whether the outside lever is locked or unlocked; operating an unlocked lever retracts the latch. Select the LHR or RHR handing to suit the opening.

The device includes the mortise exit chassis, ET electrified trim with L lever, and standard mounting hardware. A mortise cylinder is not included and must be ordered separately to complete the installation.
