Sargent LC-8904-F-PTB Mortise Exit Device, Nightlatch Function, PTB Thumbpiece Trim, 33-36 In Door, Less Cylinder, Hex Key Dogging, Grade 1
The Sargent LC-8904-F-PTB is a Grade 1 mortise exit device for 33 to 36-inch door widths, supplied with PTB thumbpiece pull trim and less cylinder. This non-fire-rated panic hardware configuration includes hex key dogging. The F code identifies the rail size, not the trim style.
Features
- 8900 Series mortise lock exit device with function 04 nightlatch operation.
- Key retracts the latch for outside entry; pressing the inside pushbar retracts the latch for egress.
- PTB thumbpiece pull trim; specify LHR or RHR handing.
- Hex key dogging holds the pushbar depressed for push/pull operation.
- Supplied less cylinder; cylinder must be ordered separately.

Functional Details
Function 04 is a nightlatch function: the key retracts the latch. This is not a passage or classroom function, and the key does not leave the exterior thumbpiece unlocked for ongoing operation. Egress from inside is by the pushbar. LC means less cylinder.
