The Sargent LC-8975-J-ETP-12V is a Grade 1 electrified mortise exit device built for high-traffic commercial openings measuring 37 to 42 inches in width. Designed with a 12V fail safe function, it unlocks the outside trim automatically when power is interrupted, making it ideal for secured corridors and life-safety applications where free egress and controlled access are both required. This configuration ships less cylinder, allowing you to match your existing keying system, and features the ET control trim with the P lever design. Hex key dogging allows the device to be held in a retracted, push-pull state for periods of high pedestrian flow.

Functional Details

This 12V DC electrified ET trim operates in fail safe mode. With power removed, the outside lever is unlocked. Applying power locks the outside lever. When unlocked, turning the outside lever retracts the mortise latch. Operating the inside push rail permits egress regardless of the electrical state of the trim. A compatible mortise cylinder, ordered separately, provides mechanical key override.

Trim and Lever Details

The ET trim has a P lever. Electrical power controls whether the outside lever is locked or unlocked; operating an unlocked lever retracts the latch. Select the LHR or RHR handing to suit the opening.

Included Components

The device includes the mortise exit chassis, the ETP electrified control trim with P lever, and the 12V solenoid assembly. A cylinder is not included and must be ordered separately.
