The Sargent LC-8975-J-ETP-24V is a Grade 1 electrified mortise exit device built for high-traffic commercial openings on doors measuring 37 to 42 inches wide. Operating on 24V with a fail safe function, the device unlocks the outside trim during a power loss, making it well suited for access-controlled entrances and life-safety applications. It ships less cylinder (LC), giving you flexibility to pair your preferred mortise cylinder, and features the ETP trim with a P lever for comfortable operation. Hex key dogging keeps the latch retracted for scheduled free passage, while the rugged mortise lock case delivers dependable security and long-term durability in demanding environments.

Functional Details

This 24V DC electrified ET trim operates in fail safe mode. With power removed, the outside lever is unlocked. Applying power locks the outside lever. When unlocked, turning the outside lever retracts the mortise latch. Operating the inside push rail permits egress regardless of the electrical state of the trim. A compatible mortise cylinder, ordered separately, provides mechanical key override.

Trim and Lever Details

The ET trim has a P lever. Electrical power controls whether the outside lever is locked or unlocked; operating an unlocked lever retracts the latch. Select the LHR or RHR handing to suit the opening.
