The Sargent LC-8976-F-ETL-24V is a Grade 1 electrified mortise exit device engineered for secure, high-traffic commercial openings. Designed for doors measuring 33 to 36 inches wide, it pairs a mortise lock body with the 24V ET electrified trim configured for fail secure operation, meaning the outside lever stays locked until power is applied. The device ships less cylinder, giving you the flexibility to match your facility's existing keying system, and includes the L lever design for comfortable operation. Hex key dogging allows the latch to be held retracted for push/pull function during peak hours, while free egress from the inside is always maintained.

Functional Details

This 24V DC electrified ET trim operates in fail secure mode. With power removed, the outside lever is locked. Applying power unlocks the outside lever. When unlocked, turning the outside lever retracts the mortise latch. Operating the inside push rail permits egress regardless of the electrical state of the trim. A compatible mortise cylinder, ordered separately, provides mechanical key override.

Trim and Lever Details

The ET trim has an L lever. Electrical power controls whether the outside lever is locked or unlocked; operating an unlocked lever retracts the latch. Select the LHR or RHR handing to suit the opening.
