The Sargent LC-8976-G-ETB-12V is a Grade 1 electrified mortise exit device engineered for secure, high-traffic openings that require controlled access through the trim. Built for doors measuring 43 to 48 inches in width, this device pairs a durable mortise lock case with electrified ET-style trim and a B lever design. Operating on 12V DC, it uses a fail secure function to keep the outside lever locked during a power loss, maintaining building security. Shipped less cylinder to accommodate your existing or preferred keying system, it also includes hex key dogging for convenient mechanical hold-open when needed.

Functional Details

This 12V DC electrified ET trim operates in fail secure mode. With power removed, the outside lever is locked. Applying power unlocks the outside lever. When unlocked, turning the outside lever retracts the mortise latch. Operating the inside push rail permits egress regardless of the electrical state of the trim. A compatible mortise cylinder, ordered separately, provides mechanical key override.

Trim and Lever Details

The ET trim has a B lever. Electrical power controls whether the outside lever is locked or unlocked; operating an unlocked lever retracts the latch. Select the LHR or RHR handing to suit the opening.

The device ships with the electrified mortise exit chassis, ETB lever trim, and hex key dogging hardware. A cylinder is not included and must be ordered separately to match your facility's keying.
